Assumption weekend promises to be busy on the roads. Saturday will be particularly difficult in terms of traffic.

This August 15 is the Assumption and also one of the last summer weekends. For the occasion, August vacationers will probably be crossing the roads. The weekend, like the previous two at the end of July and beginning of August, will be difficult in terms of traffic.

  • avoid the A63 motorway, between Spain and Bayonne, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.,

  • avoid the A43 motorway, between Chambéry and Lyon, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.,
  • avoid the A48 motorway, between Grenoble and Lyon, from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m.,
  • avoid the Mont-Blanc tunnel on the way back to France, from 14:00 to 21:00 (waiting time over 1 hour).

Friday and Sunday less complicated on the roads

Bison Futé announces on the other hand less difficult traffic conditions for Friday and Sunday. This Friday, the The Paris region and the Mediterranean coast are classified as heavy traffic. In the direction of come back, the whole country is in difficult circulation. Except the Mediterranean coast, still, in very difficult circulation.

For On Sunday, the south of the country will have difficult traffic in the direction of departures, with the rest of the territory in usual conditions. For returns, heavy traffic will extend to the Auvergne-Rhône-Alps region.
