Eight recruits arrive at UBB, not Du Preez
Something heavy arrives on the coast of Gironde. To compensate for the many exits from Thierry Paiva, Ulupano Seuteni, Lluís Picamoles or Ben Lam, Laurent Martin and Bordeaux have announced no less than eight recruits. Among them, we find: the Montauban pillar Christopher Vaotoa (25 years), the international Sipili Falataea (25 years, 4 caps), the solid and U20 world champion in 2018 Ugo Bonifacio (23 years old) but also the former player of Agen and Toulouse, Antoine Michael (28 years old).
The big question was around the future number eight of the UBB. It will therefore not be one of the Du Preez brothers playing in Sale, but the Australian international who went through Montpellier, Caleb Timu (28 years, 2 selections). Behind, the versatile Zack Holmes (32) arrives from Toulouse and the youth center of Clermont Tani Vili (21 years old) arrives at the centre. The attraction could be the end or the center Madosh Tambwe (25), very interesting to the Blue Bulls. The UBB also announced the return of the loan prostitute Pablo Dimcheff party during the season in Mont-de-Marsan and the extension of the inexhaustible Vadim Kobilas.
Boneval stretches out
Trained in Toulouse, the three-quarter wing Arthur Bonneval (27 years old) will continue the adventure for a year at his favorite club. Starting 10 times this season, the winger has often been injured and has been outclassed in Toulouse’s runners-up. Courted by Career 92 where Touloncould return to form.
The red-black club also announced a few days ago the extension for two seasons of the scrum half Baptiste Germain. As a reminder, the ex-Bleuet will be loaned for a season to Biarritz in Pro D2 to toughen up and get more playing time.
La Rochelle preserves and expands its nugget
Retained in the workforce by Fabien Galthie and the French team during the tour of Japan, the third line Matthias Haddad extends for two additional seasons in La Rochelle. Capped 16 times last season, he impressed with his relentless activity during the Champions Cup triumph against Leinster.
Montpellier formalizes all its recruits
Like UBB, the reigning champions of Montpellier have announced, little by little, all their additions for the coming season. On July 13, the Cists formalized for the first time the transfer of the scrum-half from the Stade Montois, Leo Coly. A week later, it was Ben Lam’s (UBB) turn to stand out on social media. Finally, the inexhaustible scraper of Carcassonne, Clement Doumencjust formalized the MHR.
Megdoud goes to the Stade Français in Paris
Without a doubt, it is the soap opera of the last days. The end of Rouen, Nadir Megdoud (25) signed up for the Stade Français in Paris. In a very frank press release, the president of the RNR explains that the player “has done everything to leave Rouen this season”. Very restless, especially with the Algerian selection, the winger made his return to the Top 14, he who had already experienced this championship when he played in Brive.
Luamanu in Dax, Williams in Arcachon…
Aviron Bayonnais will lose the very powerful Mateu Luamanu, passed by the Harlequins. The latter is incorporated Jeff DuboisGuillaume Bouche or even Maxime Delonca in Dax. At the same time, the club of Arcachon signed a very nice move by engaging the English three-quarter center of Béziers, jeffrey williams.
