Tour of Italy – All about the 105th Giro d’Italia … in 6 days!

The full course of the 2022 edition of the Tour of Italy (May 6-29) has been known for a long time. In conclusion, the organizers announced the route of the last stage, a last 17-kilometer time trial held in Verona with a profile identical to that of 2019 where Richard Carapaz (INEOS Grenadiers but playing Movistar) had achieved the final victory. From the fourth day, the platoon will have to face the arrival at the top of theEtna in Sicily at the end of a stage of 166 kilometers and 3590 meters of elevation gain. We will have to wait until the ninth stage to witness a new explanation between climbers from the Blockhouse will decide between runners after crossing Roccaraso and the Lanciano Pass. The flat stages of the Tour of Italy 2022

Following the revelation last week of the first three Hungarian stages of the Tour of Italy 2022the organizers of Giro has presented on Monday morning the five flat stages that will take place on Italian soil. The end of the stage will take place at Messina, Stairs, Reggio Emilia, Wedge i Treviso. On paper, the steps of Stairs, Reggio Emilia – which, with 201 kilometers in the program, will be the longest of these Giro with the 3rd stage – i Treviso it will be very affordable for sprinters. As for those who arrive Messina i Wedge, the rapids of the peloton will have to face in each of these two days a big climb -located far from the finish- that could put them in difficulty. The great departure from Budapest

As expected, the organizers of the Tour of Italy announced last Wednesday the profile of the first three of the 2022 edition, which will begin from Budapest en Hungary May 6. The first stage will connect the Hungarian capital Visegrad where a side finish is planned. The next day, it’s time for a short 9.2-kilometer time trial Budapest, with a last rugged kilometer.
