The club of Pamiers (Ariège) had a turbulent end to the 2021-2022 season. After having validated his promotion to National 2 sportingly, the SCA he finally decided to reject this membership and stay there Federal 1 for Season 2022-2023. A decision that precipitated the resignation of the emblematic president of the Ladies, Jean-Philippe Sannacand after the dismissal of coach Éric Mercadier, who has since bounced back to the bench at Châteaurenard (Fédérale 1).
About its three new co-presidents: Patrice Galy, Jacques Bassett i Philippe Martignoles – and its new technical staff made up of David Begu, Romain Boscus i Patrick Mirosa, Sporting Club Appaméen therefore starts from scratch. At the dawn of the 2022-2023 financial year, the flagship rugby club of Arieja prefers to look forward than back, with a budget of around 800,000 euros, and betting on foreign recruitments but above all on several returns from the experience
Returning alumni, young talent and foreign recruits

The former, trained at the SCA, has played mainly in Colomiers (77 Pro D2 matches and 20 in Fédérale 1) and Blagnac (8 Fédérale 1 matches), while the latter is a former Polish international (9 caps), spent by training center in Castres before meeting the Fédérale 1 in Lannemezan, Rodez and Pamiers, and the last is a pure Ariégeois, which was trained in Lavelanet.

In the radius of departures, the Checkers will have to do without several managers, often tempted by adventure in higher division clubs, such as the Romanian one.
